The maps are free. An account is optional. The site carries no ads and is not affiliated with any game studio.
What this is
Atlas draws the political map of several grand strategy games. The build gets every border from the files that ship with the game. Nobody traces a border by hand.
Every map, map mode and start date is free to use. You can use them without an account.
Accounts
An account uses an identity from Google, Discord, Twitch, GitHub or a one-use email link. Atlas has no password for you to manage.
Keep access to your sign-in method secure. Do not use an account to attack the service or to break the law.
You can sign out or delete your account from the Account page. Atlas can suspend an account that attacks the service. A suspension does not remove access to the free maps.
Not affiliated
A fan project. Not affiliated with Paradox Interactive or Digital Extremes.
Game names, country names, logos and interface art are the property of their owners. They appear here to identify the game a map draws, and to illustrate it.
Game data and game art
The build computes the maps from data files in a copy of each game that the site owner owns. It measures a border from a province bitmap. It does not copy a border from a picture.
The Europa Universalis IV map is the one exception, and it is named as an exception. It reproduces interface art from the game so that a panel looks like the panel it stands for. That art belongs to Paradox Interactive.
If you hold rights in any material shown here and you want it removed, write to the address below. The site owner will remove it.
What you may do
Read the maps, share the links, and take screenshots. Quote a figure and say where it came from.
Do not present the maps as an official product of any game studio. Do not attack the site, and do not use it in a way that breaks the law where you are.
Your save files
A saved game you open here stays yours and stays on your computer. Your browser reads it and never uploads it. The Privacy page explains what enforces that.
No warranty
We provide the maps as they are, with no warranty of any kind.
A map can be wrong. The build uses one version of one game, and a game patch moves borders. A save written on a different version of the game describes a different world. Do not rely on a map here for anything that matters.
To the extent the law allows, the site owner is not liable for any loss that follows from using this site.
Changes to these terms
These terms can change. The date at the top changes with them. The public commit history of the project records every change.
